After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan) novel Chapter 1037

He cheated on her with his secretary, but when they first got together, the secretary was a virgin, totally innocent.

Natalie frowned, standing beside Jordan and looking at him from above. “Jordan, you’re acting weird.”

“You don’t like me sitting on your lap? Is that it? You look like you’re disgusted by me. Are you? Because I’m definitely not disgusted by you, so what gives you the right to judge me? You slept with another woman, you’ve been dirty for a while now, so who are you to look down on me? At least Ethan and I were completely above board. I never even kissed him.”

Jordan swallowed his irritation, fighting to stay calm. “Natalie, you’re reading too much into this. I just don’t want anyone coming in and seeing us. This is the office. If people start talking, the rumors would be terrible. I know nothing happened between you and Ethan. It’s over between me and the secretary, for real. Lately, I come straight home to you after work, I don’t go anywhere else. We both agreed to move past what happened. And honestly, I’m just tired right now. Having you on my lap is a lot.”

Natalie, you mentioned the hospital earlier. Why’d you go?”

Jordan was desperate to change the topic.

He really wanted to know why Natalie had gone to the hospital.

Isabella thought there was a good chance Natalie was pregnant.

Was it true?

“Jordan, I want to show you something.”

Natalie grabbed her bag and pulled out a piece of paper. She handed it to him. “Here, take a look.”

The second she pulled out the hospital report, Jordan’s mind went blank.

Was Isabella’s guess spot-on?

Natalie offered him the report. She saw the color drain from his face—he looked nervous, even scared. She gave him a gentle smile. “Jordan, look at you. I did go to the hospital, but the news is good. You don’t have to freak out like this.”

She reached out and touched his hand. “Baby, we’re going to be parents. I’m pregnant. I’m really pregnant again. This time, our baby will be healthy.”

Natalie said it straightforward, not hiding her excitement.

Yeah, a month ago, he and Natalie had slept together plenty of times.

But he still didn’t know when things might have happened with another man.

If it happened a month ago too, whose child was this really?

He stared at the report again, but his mind drifted back to that night a month ago. He’d been wasted. The secretary had brought him home. Natalie was waiting for him, wanting to be close, even though he could barely stand up straight.

He’d passed out halfway through. Later that night, Natalie had put on something sexy and gone to find Ethan.

She’d tried to sleep with Ethan, but Ethan had turned her down.
