Julius's voice was practically a roar.
Before the affair between Yvonne and Farmer was exposed, he too had believed the child she was carrying was his.
But he never imagined the depth of her deception.
He had ordered a check of the security footage from that night and discovered Yvonne had spent the first half of the night with Farmer, only returning at dawn. From the time she got home to when he woke up from his drunken stupor, only an hour had passed. It was impossible that he wouldn't remember something that had happened just an hour before.
So, Yvonne had stripped off her clothes and crawled into bed next to him, fabricating the illusion that they had spent the night together.
Then she got pregnant, and the child was naturally assumed to be his.
What a vicious, cunning scheme.
If he hadn't dug deeper into Yvonne's whereabouts that night, he would have ended up raising another man's child.
Seeing Yvonne's guilty, evasive eyes, Julius knew he was right. This child was not his.
"Farmer! The baby's biological father is Farmer, am I right?" Julius said, enunciating each word with chilling clarity.
Yvonne collapsed onto the floor, a hollow feeling spreading through her chest. She lay with her face to the ground, looking utterly broken, but her shrewd eyes were still darting around, calculating.
"He's yours," she insisted, her voice weak as she shakily lifted her head to look at him. "After he was born, we did a paternity test. It proved he was yours!"
Yvonne was trying to steady her nerves. After the baby was born, Elena had arranged a paternity test that confirmed Julius was the father. That was why, even when the video of Yvonne and Farmer went viral, Julius had chosen to help clear her name—for the child's sake.
What neither Yvonne nor Elena knew was that Julius had secretly investigated their movements that night.
