The next morning.
After several days of cold winds and overcast skies, the sun finally broke through.
Grace and Ethan were up early, tidying the house and preparing ingredients for lunch.
The Holt siblings helped with decorations and lent a hand in the kitchen.
Nolan and Sutton couldn’t resist teasing West.
Sutton sidled up to West, raising an eyebrow with a grin. “West, I hear this one they’ve set you up with today is quite a catch. You’d better lock it down, or Mom and Dad will be back to nagging me and Nolan.”
Nolan chimed in, putting down the fairy lights he was holding. “Sutton’s right, West. You should aim to have your wedding alongside Ethan’s. Who knows, maybe some of that good luck will rub off on me and I can get my own life sorted out.”
The two exchanged a look, their eyes full of mischief.
West raised a hand as if to swat them. “If you two don’t have anything nice to say, nobody’s forcing you to talk.”
Sutton and Nolan laughed and quickly dodged away.
Just then, the matchmaker arrived with the third blind date.
She wore exquisite makeup that highlighted her sharp features, and her hair was tied in a stylish top knot. Dressed in a long coat, she exuded the aura of a mature, capable, and powerful career woman.
Although she was thirty-five, her face showed no trace of age; instead, it held a unique, captivating charm.
“This is Leda Renata. We left at dawn because we didn’t want to keep you waiting,” the matchmaker said, her face beaming as she introduced the day’s candidate.
The Holts greeted her politely.
“Miss Renata, please, come in, come in! It’s cold outside, but it’s warm in here,” Grace said, welcoming her warmly.
Leda nodded slightly in polite response, her eyes sweeping over the group before finally settling on West.
West’s gaze, however, was directed outside at the vegetable garden Easton had planted.
The lush greenery was a refreshing sight.
But the thought of his current predicament quickly made his mood as fickle as the weather.
