Abandoned by All I Took It All Back novel Chapter 469

Mrs. Clifford had no idea what was going on. She rushed over, asking anxiously, “What is it, Baron? What do you mean by that?”

Baron’s eyes were red, and he gritted his teeth in hatred. “Wendy went online and exposed us! She told everyone we were faking it! She revealed everything! See for yourself!”

His voice trembling with rage, Baron played the top-trending video on his phone.

The video clearly showed what Wendy had said during her stream. It was followed by commentary from numerous other content creators, all of them criticizing and condemning the family.

The clip wasn't long, but it was enough to plunge Mrs. Clifford into despair.

Only then did she realize that their family had been crucified online.

“Why? Why would she show up at a time like this? We had finally found a way to make money! If she had just been patient for a little longer, we could have been rich! That damn, wretched girl, she’s ruined us!”

Mrs. Clifford collapsed onto the floor, sobbing and screaming.

She couldn't accept that her own daughter would betray her like this. Wendy’s actions had shattered her dream of getting rich. Not only that, but now no one would ever believe a word she said again.

Baron got up from the bed, ignoring his mother’s wails, and said with a cold face, “You two need to figure out how to get me the money. If you can’t scrape together three million in ten days, those men are going to break my legs. You don’t want a disabled son, do you?”

Baron had been carrying this loan shark debt for over two years. He had already mortgaged the house, but the money wasn't even enough to cover the interest on a debt that had ballooned to over ten million. The loan sharks had given him a ten-day ultimatum: come up with three million, or they would come for his hands and feet.

He had been on the verge of solving his problem. Riding the momentum of their viral pity story, they had made nearly a million in just over a day. At that rate, earning another two million in ten days would have been no problem. His debt was almost manageable, but then Wendy had to ruin everything.

Baron was seething with hatred.

Hearing his threat, Mrs. Clifford immediately stopped crying, a wave of terror washing over her.
