A Vengeful Bride novel Chapter 159

"Ashley, wait and see." Betty's eyes were so fierce.

Looking at her eyes, I sneered and pushed her away with no expression.

I really didn't want to waste my time talking nonsense with Betty.

I frowned and shook off her hand. When I was about to leave, I heard a crisp sound.

When I looked over, I saw a necklace on the ground. When I argued with Betty, her necklace fell to the ground.

I bent down and picked up the necklace. After taking a look at it, I found that this necklace was the one I had seen many times in the photo.

"Give it back to me." When I was staring at the necklace in a daze, Betty pushed me away as if she was crazy.

My whole body crashed into the wall. With an angry face, I watched Betty snatch the necklace away from me anxiously.

"Ashley, wait and see. I won't let you go." Betty clenched the necklace in her hand and said fiercely to me.

I curled my lips and didn't take her words to heart.

After she left, I stood up from the ground. I looked blankly at the place where the necklace had been, and I had a headache. That necklace... was really familiar. What was going on? Why was my mood seriously affected every time I saw the necklace?

I must have seen that necklace. Maybe that necklace was actually mine.

I was scared by this idea and immediately shook my head.

Edward once said that it was because of this necklace that he knew that the person who saved him was Betty.

I had never been kidnapped before, let alone at such a young age.

Had I been kidnapped when I was 12 years old?

I rubbed my slightly uncomfortable temple and left the Fang family with a strange mood.

After returning to my house, just as I was about to turn on the computer and draw design drafts, I received a phone call from Amy. She said that something happened to the workshop.

When I rushed to the workshop, I saw the workers holding the clothes dejectedly, and I didn't know what they were muttering.

When I went over, the director immediately stepped forward and said to me with some concern, "I'm really sorry. It's all my fault that I didn't manage the workshop well, so something bad happened."

"What's going on? Why are these fabrics all dyed?"

My face darkened and I walked to the already-made clothes. I picked up the clothes that had been dyed colorful and said with anger. This batch of clothes needed to be sent to Leonard's Company, and they would be sold abroad.

I designed these clothes and chose the materials personally. I had already seriously warned the workers to be careful. These were all high- grade clothes, and the materials were very good. There could be no mistake.

But they were all dyed, which would prolong the productive time and the completion time.

I promised Leonard that these clothes would be delivered a week later. Even if I purchased materials again and let the workers work day and night, there would not be enough time. Because the process of making these clothes was very troublesome.

"We don't know. When we came here this morning, we found that all these clothes were soaked in a dye vat. After we found it, we took out all the clothes to make up for the loss... But..." One of the workers explained to me with fear.

"What are we going to do now? I have used a lot of ways to clean these colors, but I can't." The director looked at me with a worried face and said.

I picked up the clothes and looked at the colors on it. I had a terrible headache.

"How many clothes were dyed?"

Leonard had customized 3500 sets of clothes of this style, each of which was limited edition in size and style.

In order to make these clothes, I put in a lot of effort. I didn't expect that this kind of bad thing would happen. "I counted and found that 1,500 sets were dyed, and

2.000 sets of them were not dyed, but..." The director stammered and looked at me, as if he didn't dare say what he was going to say.

"Tell me, what happened to the other 2,000 sets?" When I heard the director's words, my heart sank.

There must be something wrong with the other

2.000 sets.

"The other 2,000 sets were bitten by... rats." The director looked at me with fear and stammered.

What? Being bitten by rats?

I was shocked by the director's words.

Her relationship with the Mu family was so good.

I sneered. Then I started the car and drove straight into the yard of the Mu family.

"Aren't you in the workshop today?" Mark happened to be eating sunflower seeds in the yard and looked very leisurely. When he saw me getting out of the car, he greeted me.

I walked straight to him and said in a cold voice, "Something's wrong with the clothes in the workshop. Do you know about it?"

"Something's wrong? How's that possible? What's wrong?" Mark looked at me in surprise. His handsome face was full of astonishment.

I stared into his eyes and said slowly, "We are supposed to offer the Fang's Group a batch of clothes. But 1,500 sets were dyed and 2,000 sets were bitten by rats. You're the one who had been guarding the warehouse all the time."

"What do you mean by this? Are you suspecting that I did it?" Mark seemed to be angry with me. He threw the sunflower seeds on the table, got up angrily, and stared at me with his eyes wide open.

"I didn't say that you did it. But you refute me in a hurry, which makes me a little suspicious." I looked at Mark coldly and sneered.

"Okay, Ashley, your words are aimed at me. If it weren't for the fact that you have been working so hard to support such a bad company, I wouldn't have helped you. But how do you treat me? You even doubt that I have done something to the batch of clothes. Ashley, you really let me down."

"I didn't say that you did it. I'm just asking you, how did you guard the warehouse? There has never been a rat in my workshop. How did it come? Moreover, why would these clothes be thrown into the dye vat? Don't you think it's so strange?"

"I don't think it's strange, but I think that you are framing me. Let me tell you, I have never done such a thing. Believe it or not, if you suspect me, show me the evidence. How can you wrong me without evidence?"

"Ashley, Mark, what are you arguing about? I heard you quarreling from afar."

I was angry with Mark's tough attitude.

Originally, I just suspected that this matter had something to do with him. Because he had hurt me for several times, so I couldn't believe that he would really change.

His explanation made me even more confused and have a more subtle judgment about this matter.

It was not a coincidence. It must be man-made.

Did someone deliberately do this and want to make me unable to work?

"Mom, ask your good daughter. I want to help her, so I work in the Xi's Group. How could she suspect that these things were all done by me?" Mark looked at my mother with anger and complained.
