However, it was obviously not enough to get her back.
"Zuri, you used to like Shadow, remember? Khaos gave you the wolf when it was only a few days old. I was the one who brought the wolf to you. Do you remember that? You named the wolf Shadow."
It was so bizarre for Zuri to come up with the name, but right now the name suit Khaos more, since he controlled the shadow.
On the other end, upon hearing that Zuri glared at Gayle. "Of course, I remember that! Do you think I am crazy? And then what? I don’t care. What else do you want me to do? Fucking cuddle with that furball? Get rid of that thing!"
Zuri was furious. She marched across the room and then kicked Shadow on the face. Yet, what she didn’t expect was the wolf actually bit her leg and she screamed on the top of her lungs as she fell to the ground.
Shadow had never bitten anyone, especially not Zuri. Even when Zuri hurt it the last time, the wolf was still very affectionate with her.
Seeing that, Gayle was stunned but he immediately reacted and held back the wolf, while Zuri was screaming.
"Get rid of that fucking wolf!"
Gayle quickly got Shadow out of the room, as Zuri was crying in pain and the wolf was growling viciously. She screamed profanities and all the swearing word that she could think about. She hated that wolf so much. She felt like she was going to fucking kill that creature the first chance she got.
"Get that thing away from my face or I am going to kill you too, Gayle! Get rid of that thing! Get rid of that thing! That thing hurt me!"
Zuri screamed and Gayle rushed out of the room to find Dezgar to check on Zuri, since she was spiraling and Khaos wouldn’t be happy to see her being hurt like that.
"What the fuck do you think you are doing?!" Dezgar sounded frustrated when he heard what happened.
"I don’t know, I am not sure what I am doing." Gayle was at lost for word. He shook his head, clueless. "Please, check on Zuri, if something happened to her, I don’t think Khaos will be merciful."
"I am sure he is going to kill you and the wolf," Dezgar grumbled, as he rushed toward the room, where Khaos locked Zuri in.
Gayle calmed Shadow down and let Dezgar to deal with Zuri as she was still screaming and crying inside the bedroom. She was not stable. And as the day went by, her condition did not improve at all.

Three months later, Rose, king Eyren and Declan had arranged everything. She still had not yet announced her pregnancy and once again, Logan agreed with her because it would put their baby in danger, especially when they were going into a war against the lycan.
The two kingdoms joined hand and had their warriors prepared. They were ready for another war.
"What are you thinking about?" Rose approached Logan, who was deep in thought, as he cradled her in his arms. Both of them stared at the sunset, enjoying this beautiful and peaceful moment.
Resting her head against Logan’s chest, Rose could hear his steady heartbeat, which was very calming.
"Khaos, how long do you want to let this thing happen? You can make it right before everything starts to crumble. Please think twice. Don’t do something like this, Khaos. You are going to lose what we have fighting for all this time."
Khaos said nothing. He stared at the mangled flesh and blood not too far from him, as two warriors took care of the poor wolf.
"Why are you being so stubborn? Let her go and we can focus on our goal." Gayle looked desperate enough, he looked like he was going to beg him.
Still, Khaos didn’t give any reaction.
"Let her go, Khaos." Gayle stepped forward and blocked Khaos’s sight at Shadow’s bloody body. "You are not only losing your people’s loyalty, but you are also losing yourself if you insisted to keep her. Do you think it’s worth it?"
Khaos finally regarded him with a cold look. "She is worth it."
And that was enough for Gayle to know there was nothing that could make Khaos to let Zuri go. He was going to keep her until the end. He gave up his revenge and their life long plan.
At this moment, Gayle himself was not sure if Khaos actually knew what he was doing.
"She could kill you one day."
"She already has my heart in her hands, she might as well take my life."
