A Mate For The Last Lycan novel Chapter 255

Chapter 255: THE COMPLETION OF THE BEAUTY BLOOD (5)

The lycan lost it when he heard what they had done to Zuri. He was seeing red.

"It’s not us, my lycan king. It’s Lorent. He was the one, who had put poison on her drugs." The taller magic user tried to explain the situation, shifting the blame on Lorent and let him to be the scapegoat of their predicament under the lycan’s wrath.

Another magic user stepped in, as he vouched the same thing. "It was Lauren who had put the poison on her, and if woke her up, the poison will act. She could die."

And now they couldn’t do anything. Zuri was alive, but in a way she was dead.

Even if they found Lorent and gave the cure for her, it wouldn’t help. With her current condition, her body wouldn’t be able to take it.

Khaos couldn’t believe what he heard. He got Zuri back, he got the power, the completion of the beauty blood, but at what cost?

He couldn’t feel the agony of the severed mate bond, since Zuri was still alive, but the anguish feeling that rattled his body was something he had never felt before.

Pain would be a mercy for him than this feeling. He felt there was a huge hole in his chest. He felt hollow.

"My lycan king..."

They called him carefully when Khaos put down Zuri’s body. She was still warm to his touch. She was breathing, but she wouldn’t answer him, neither she would open her eyes again.

"My lycan king, the beauty blood..."

But before Khaos lashed out his wrath, he felt this strong power within him, and the thunder became even louder as if it would split the sky into half.

Khaos could feel the surge of power within him and even though the torches around the room were lit up, somehow the darkness crept.

Their shadow swayed with the wind as if they were alive, and a moment later their shadows actually moved on its own, as if they had their own mind and strangle any of them.

"Arrgh! What’s going on!"

"The shadow! The shadow is alive!"

"We need to get away from here!"

It was too late, they were too close to the lycan, as he breathed into the ultimate power of his kind. The power that many creatures were longing for.

Meanwhile, the magic users were choked by their own shadow. Their shadows killed them, while the thunder rolled on the sky.

Khaos watch as they struggled to breathe, as they were being killed in the worst possible way. They scratched their neck and asked for Khaos to stop.

"Please, my king, my lycan king."

"It’s done. It has been done. The beauty blood..."

"You will be the most powerful lycan. Please, we help you to get this power."

They wanted to get a credit for harming his mate and Khaos couldn’t care less about their pleas. They thought, they would be praised for what they had done. No. Obviously no.

Khaos watched them struggling, dying.

"If this is the power that you really wanted, then I will let you feel it. You should be honored to feel the power the first hand."

Khaos looked cold, very dark, he detached himself from the reality. This reality had no Zuri in it.

He looked like a God, who stared down at his creation and didn’t feel an ounce of pity for his failed creation.

They could die for all he cared and more importantly, Khaos could feel this delightful feeling from killing these magic users.

The shadows turned darker and spread wider, as his shadow actually consumed the magic users.

For a moment, it looked like someone had put black blanket over their bodies, but then they simply disappeared under the dark cloak.

There was nothing, there was no remain of them, not even a single drop of blood.

Seeing this, the other warriors were too stunned to move, they felt their feet were so heavy, it could be because their own shadow restrained them on the ground.

Horror filled their eyes to know that the lycan king was going to kill them all.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, the other two treasures of the lycan glowed as Khaos claimed the ultimate power of his kind.

Ezra and Bryden noticed that too, which allowed them to know that Khaos finally did it. They didn’t know the detail, but they knew that the beauty blood had been completed.

They were glad to actually let Declan handled the situation or else Khaos wouldn’t have wanted to finish it.

Putting their hope on Giana to be able to finish the curse was not realistic. It would be too farfetched. Zuri was the best option.

However, neither Ezra nor Bryden knew what was going to come to them.

"Give me back my mate, Khaos. Or else, the next arrow will pierce your mate’s face." Lorent didn’t run away, he was still around. He wanted the power too. freёwebnovel.com

The completion of the beauty blood unleashed this power in the air, but it was too powerful for anyone to handle, especially a mere warrior.

The warriors, who couldn’t move from their spot was forced to breath in the power, yet their body couldn’t handle it and burst into flame.

Khaos’s skin had burnt too, the power was still too much even for him as the lycan descendent, yet he didn’t even flinch.

"You are not going to give me back my mate," Lorent said with resentment. He couldn’t believe it. He made such mistake.

He thought Zuri would be able to stop Khaos from completing the beauty blood or even to continue with the ritual, but it costed him his mate.

"If I am not going to get my mate back, you better to live without one too!"

And with that, Lorent took two steps forward, his bow was at the ready, as he had his arrow aimed at Zuri. He breathed in the power of the lycan, but he was a little bit far, thus the power didn’t overwhelm him, but it was enough to make his next shoot deadly.

Even though it was not as powerful as Khaos, but he could control the shadow too.

However, before he could harm Zuri, the shadow around Khaos’s body engulfed him and a second later his body disappeared, so did Zuri’s body.

And before Lorent could comprehend what was going on or where did they had gone, Khaos suddenly appeared right in front of him.

Khaos emerged from Lorent’s shadow.

"Do you want this power?" Khaos asked, he was very close, he looked like he almost kissed him. "Take it."

This was Lorent’s back up plan. If he couldn’t get his mate back through Declan, then his other option was to take the power himself.

After all, this was one of the ultimate powers of the lycan, you could control the darkness. You couldn’t die, you are immortal and silver would no longer hurt you.

Nothing could kill you.

You would live forever.

"Take it," Khaos said again, as he raised his hand and palmed Lorent’s face. This man had poisoned Zuri and put her into coma.

This was such irony...

Khaos was immortal now and Zuri’s time had stopped, which meant they could live forever, but with how she was right now, you couldn’t even say that she was actually alive.

And in the end, Khaos would be alone again.
