A Mate For The Last Lycan novel Chapter 202

Chapter 202: THE START OF THE WAR (4)

’Yeah. Fuck that man with his hypocrisy word!’

’Shut him up! He knew nothing!’

’Oh, his eyes will look so good once you gouged them out of his head.’

The voices returned. Khaos had gone so long, Zuri craved his presence, but not only because she needed him, as he was her mate, but because the voices returned.

Her medicine didn’t really help to shut them up and the past week she had been suppressing her darkest urge to kill someone, to feel the blood on her face, to embed her claws into someone’s flesh. The euphoria of that moment was very tempting.

And right now, Rhett was truly challenging her patience.

’Kill him!’

’Kill him!’

’Kill him!’

"Fuck you, Rhett," Zuri cussed him out through her gritted teeth, she glared at him sharply. "Get out of my face before I killed you."

To her annoyance, Rhett didn’t budge, he was standing there like a statue, staring at her. "Is the voice, right? The voices returned."

"That’s none of your business."

"Zuri, don’t be like this. You are still my little sister, I care about you." Rhett looked desperate, which was laughable, since he was the one, who put Zuri in this condition.

"No. I am not your sister anymore. You created a monster, Rhett, now deal with it." Zuri narrowed her eyes. "You are no brother of mine. You are dead to me."

After saying that, Zuri walked out of the room, if she stayed a little bit longer, she was afraid she was going to kill him right there and then. She still needed him alive. He was way more valuable to be alive then dead.

’Kill him!’

’Kill him!’

’Kill him!’

In the strategy room, Rose was the only woman there, she represented her father. King Amidas had gone back to Wolfdale kingdom after her union. Wolfdale kingdom would prepare their warrior to help king Dacre to deal with alpha Khaos’s rebellion.

That was what they believed. But the truth was; Rose and king Amidas agreed that they were going to wait and see what would happen and which side they should take.

Dacre was not pleased with the answer, but he said nothing.

On the other hand, Logan watched the interaction between the two of them, his sharp eyes followed their every movement and his expression turned grim, especially when he was ordered to leave the capital city within four days to help Luca’s warriors to defend Little Red town, which meant, he was going to leave his mate alone.

His unmarked mate.

"All of you can leave. Rose, I want to have a word with you," Dacre said, he dismissed all of the people and once they left and there was only the two of them inside the room, Dacre sat down on his seat and looked at Rose with impassive expression when he spoke. "You are stalling."

"I don’t understand what do you mean, king Dacre," Rose said, her expression didn’t show anything.

"It has been a month since your father left, but the warriors have not ready yet? Who would believe that?" Dacre narrowed his eyes dangerously this time.

"The journey back to Wolfdale Kingdom took two weeks, it meant, my father only arrived for two weeks, more so there are a lot of things that he has to prepare before he sent out half of our warriors to help. Please, have faith in my father. He is not going back on his own word."

Dacre tried to find any sign, a reason to doubt her, but he couldn’t. Rose looked genuine with her promised.

"Logan still has not yet marked you, what happened?" Dacre changed the topic. He changed his tactic and his approach on her.
