Jack's heart filled with gratitude as he gazed at the female students' expressions. He didn't expect that Soul would still have so many fans who missed his presence despite how many years had passed since his last appearance.
It was obvious that Soul had left a significant impact in the grassroots music industry.
To the side, Phoebe nodded along before saying, "Don't be too upset over Soul. Although he didn't release new music, perhaps he has already found success in other fields, so you don't have to be saddened that he was forced into an early retirement.
"After all, he's been by your side all along, performing for you." Phoebe turned to look at Jack before continuing, "Isn't that right, Soul?"
"Soul?" the students echoed, looking confusedly between Phoebe and Jack.
Jack let out a self-deprecating laugh. "How did you know?" he asked.
During the peak of Soul's career, Jack had always worn a mask when he performed on stage. He had never revealed his face to the public. Even after he was ousted by the entertainment industry, nobody knew his true identity.
How on earth did Phoebe find out?
"Of course I knew."
Phoebe shot a small smile at him, but she didn't explain how she found out. Her smile was pure and innocent, but her eyes told Jack that she had seen right through him.
The truth was, from the first time she heard Jack performing "Time" near Norhaven River all those years ago, she had already suspected that Soul and Jack were one and the same.
However, she had been uncertain of her hypothesis. After all, it would be shocking to connect Jack to someone as talented as Soul.
