A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 767

"Is that Pride? Like, from the Seven Deadly Sins Pride?"

Lance glanced down at R7CKY's face, and his pupils shrank in recognition. The name just burst out of him, "You're Pride?!"

The three of them froze, exchanging bewildered looks. Lance suddenly whipped off his cap, and his shock of white hair cascaded down. R7CKY and Ventus's eyes went wide. White hair... In the context of the Seven Deadly Sins, who else could it be?

The frail man trembled as he uttered another name, "Envy..."

Lance exclaimed, "I knew you guys felt familiar... I never thought I'd see you again..."

On the sidelines, Yvan and Logan stood dumbfounded, and Matilda was even more out of the loop. She watched them as if they were long-lost brothers finally reuniting, only missing a tearful embrace. What kind of turn of events was this?

"The Seven Deadly Sins are gathering, one by one..."

As Ventus looked at the prone R7CKY, Lance immediately started to help him up. "Yvan, how long to the military hospital?"

"About half an hour. Will he make it?" Yvan glanced at R7CKY, who was weak but putting up a brave front, and winced sympathetically. "Getting shot must hurt like hell."

When he said that, Matilda, who was about to follow, stopped in her tracks.

Getting shot must hurt like hell?

Yvan...

"You know, this is a gunshot wound," Yvan commented, worried. "It's no small matter, and we might not come out of this unscathed."

"It's okay."

Matilda's voice wavered, but she stepped into the car and closed the door behind her.

"In my life... I've heard enough gunfire." Matilda murmured almost unconsciously, "Drive. We can't waste any more time."

Yvan, the seven bullets you took half a year ago, those shots shattered all my hopes for this world.

Without another word, Yvan pressed the accelerator, and the car swiftly merged onto the road. Ventus's car followed closely behind, keeping a tight distance, a clear sign of his inner turmoil.
