Half an hour later, Yvan was summoned to The Boyd Group's office by Keaton. The moment he appeared, the entire company was in shock!
"Is that... is Mr. Boyd back?!"
"Oh my God! It really is Yvan!"
"Long time no see, Yvan. How come you look even more dashing!"
"Heard he went abroad for some advanced studies, seems like he's come back with a whole new vibe."
"Such a charming aura, like a CEO making his grand return!"
A group of fangirls whispered excitedly behind his back, their eyes filled with hearts, "I think Ms. Thompson and Mr. Boyd make such a cute couple."
"Right? I totally agree! Though, the guy with Ms. Thompson this morning was quite a looker too."
"Only someone like our Ms. Thompson could handle such outstanding men!"
Meanwhile, the group of shareholders led by Kurt were not pleased to hear about Yvan's return.
"What's going on? I thought Yvan was dead!"
"Damn it, is this guy the real Yvan or a fake?"
"Let's dig into his past. If it's a double, we can easily take him out."
"Quick, let's go check it out!"
However, as soon as Yvan pushed the door and entered the CEO's office, everyone's attention instantly shifted to him.
He paused, taken aback.
Yvan's hand, almost involuntarily, reached out to grip Declan's firmly. Declan shook his hand a couple of times before letting go, sincerely saying, "I'm so happy you're back, really."
Yvan smiled, perhaps tapping into the emotions that were inherently his. He too was happy to see Declan.
Noel, on the other hand, was overcome with emotion, his tears flowing freely. He had prayed to the heavens countless times for Yvan's return, and now... now the heavens had finally shown mercy to this heartbroken man...
After looking at Noel's face for a while, Yvan tentatively, slowly called out, "Dad...?"
At that word, Noel felt as if his heart was breaking, "Son, it's good you're back, it's good..."
Yvan knew what he was feeling inside, a mix of sadness and joy, but with his memory gone, he didn't know how to confront these emotions.
Noel stepped forward, "Dad knows you've lost your memory, it's okay, we'll take it one day at a time. Your memories will come back slowly. You're back now, that's what matters... How about coming home for dinner tonight? It's been a long time since the family gathered together..."
