A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 672

"Of course, I know her." Keaton sighed, "She's a businesswoman. What else do you want to know?"

"I met her today." Yvan, usually as cool as a cucumber, suddenly seemed at a loss for words when it came to describing Matilda, "I... don't know why, but seeing her, it was just weird. The feeling was so unique, really, it was like I wasn't in control..."

"Oh..." Keaton hesitated, wondering whether to divulge the past to him. But even if he did, what then? Would Yvan go back and reconnect with Matilda?

Could the two of them even get back together?

Maybe forgetting each other was their best fate. Let all those forgotten things, along with the hurt Yvan once caused Matilda, just sink in the river of time, never to be uncovered again.

After pondering for a while, Keaton still left Yvan with a glimmer of hope, "She did have an ex-husband who looked a lot like you, so maybe you have a shot."

Upon hearing this, Yvan wasn't pleased, "So what, I'm just a stand-in for her? If she really got back with me, I'd just be a replacement for her ex.”

Keaton almost burst into laughter at his words, "Are you jealous?"

"Jealous." Yvan frowned deeply, "I don't want to be another man's replacement."

Keaton thought to himself, buddy, you're literally jealous of yourself, since that ex-husband is you!

But he kept his thoughts to himself, barely holding back a smile as he said, "Then you just have to win her heart back, I guess."

"I'm sorry." Yvan interrupted her bluntly, "I also don’t wish to have any contact with you in the future."

Just a moment ago, he was seen chatting on the phone with a mischievous smile, and now he turned so cold!

But the girl consoled herself, thinking, even with a cold demeanor, this guy is still so handsome. No matter what, she had to win him over today!

"If you have nothing else, I’ll be leaving." Yvan methodically pried the woman's fingers off his hand, his tone robotic and extremely cold, "Miss, please let go. I have other matters to attend to."

Busy? When he was on the video call chatting with his friend earlier, she didn’t see him mention being busy!
