Logan handed over all the information he had on a suspicious set of IP addresses to Yvan and then hung up. Without wasting any time, Yvan decided to task Carl with investigating the matter immediately. Meanwhile, Logan quickly relayed the message to R7CKY.

"You're telling me..." R7CKY looked at his young protege with a mix of concern and disbelief, "someone's been making strange calls to your mom?"

"Exactly," Logan replied, his voice laced with determination. "I suspect this person is connected to the ones after my mom. I was hoping you could help us dig into this a bit."

R7CKY agreed without hesitation, "You guys need to be extra careful then. It sounds like someone might be targeting your mom."

What they hadn't anticipated, however, was Chad's choice of targets. It wasn't Matilda who found herself in danger; it was Rachel and Chloe!

Rachel, perceived by many as Yvan's mistress, and Chloe, Matilda's dearest friend, were both kidnapped by Chad, who then brazenly announced his actions.

Yvan was in the middle of an executive meeting when Carl rushed in with the news, causing Yvan's face to instantly pale. He shot up from his seat and followed Carl out, with Godfrey trailing behind them. Godfrey, always impeccably dressed in a suit but now visibly distressed, had not been Yvan's biggest fan at first. However, faced with the current crisis, he was seeking Yvan's help. "Yvan, hurry, something's happened to Chloe!"

Leaving the shareholders in the conference room, Yvan didn't hesitate for a second before taking Godfrey to his office, with Carl hurrying behind them. The people left behind exchanged incredulous looks.

What could possibly have happened to make Yvan react like this?

"An hour ago. I got the video and drove straight to Sea City to find you," Godfrey said, clutching his phone.

"We need to figure out a way to rescue Chloe, Yvan. I'm serious. Can you track the source of this video?"

The video silently captured an unconscious Chloe for twenty seconds, with only a few bird calls audible in the background, adding an eerie silence to the scene. It felt voyeuristic and suffocating, as if the viewer was being strangled. The woman in the video showed no signs of waking, merely appearing to be asleep.

Yvan felt his breath catch. Then, his own phone buzzed with an email notification. Opening it, he found a similar video, but this time, the unconscious woman was Rachel!

Godfrey, upon seeing the video on Yvan's phone, was shocked. "What in the world? Chloe's not the only one kidnapped; Rachel too?"
