A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 611

The next day, Carl walked into the office with urgent news for Yvan. "Mr. Boyd, we've identified the person who covered for Rachel in that hit-and-run incident. It was Adrian."

Yvan frowned and demanded, "Show me the details."

Carl handed over the documents, and Yvan's expression darkened as he read through them. Although his handsome features remained the same, a deep brooding intensity now clouded his eyes.

Yvan tossed the papers onto his desk, adjusted his collar, and strode out of the office. His fierce gaze sent waves of fear through the staff.

Hadn't Mr. Boyd been lightening up recently? Why did he now have that intimidating look again?

As he headed towards the elevator, Yvan ordered Carl, "Drive me to Plum Resort."

"Right away," Carl replied, keeping his gaze lowered.

Half an hour later at Plum Resort, Rachel sat anxiously in a chair, her nerves on edge. Beside her was Adlitam, who bore an uncanny resemblance to Matilda.

Adlitam brought new information, "Ms. Archer, someone has been trying to contact you secretly. I've brought the message."

"Contact me?" Rachel's eyes flickered with curiosity. "Can we trace the source?"

"It's...," Adlitam swallowed hard, "from Chad of the Jungle Union."

Chad, the young scion of Jungle Union?

A sly smile played on Rachel's lips, as if she had anticipated this. "Bring me the details."

"Of course."

Adlitam produced a file containing information about Matilda, and Yvan's daily routines. The last line caught Rachel's eye:

【Want Yvan? Cooperate with me. You'll have him, and I'll take Jungle Union. No future worries.】

Opal was shocked by Yvan's coldness. Could her grandson really be turning against her over a woman?

"Stop right there!"

Opal's voice rang out sharply. "Yvan, am I invisible to you now?"

Yvan turned, his laugh cold and questioning. "Am I invisible to you?"

Opal was taken aback. "What are you talking about?"

Glancing at the roses in Opal's hands, Yvan told her, "Grandma, you might as well enjoy your retirement here at Plum Resort. The view's nice."

It was clear; he was confining her to the resort.

Opal trembled with anger, her face turning a shade of steel. "Yvan, are you really willing to go this far for Matilda, against your own grandmother?"
