When R7CKY spoke of those days, his voice involuntarily softened, and Logan fell silent too. After a long pause, he finally spoke, "Cyprian doesn't seem like a bad guy. Maybe... maybe there's more to his story than we know."
R7CKY’s voice was rough with emotion, "Whether there is or isn't, greed has already taken its toll."
Indeed, for the sake of the so-called Seven Deadly Sins, sacrifices had been made that couldn't simply be explained away with 'complicated circumstances.'
A life had been lost, a burden that now weighed heavily on the shoulders of the remaining six.
This was a vendetta that demanded justice.
It seemed everyone was carrying their own secrets, hiding their wounds beneath a facade of carefree smiles.
R7CKY patted Logan on the head with a smile, "Don't worry, kid. As long as I'm here, no one's going to mess with you again."
He couldn't bear the thought of losing another close comrade.
Ventus swiftly drove them to Yvan's private estate. As they stepped out of the car, Carl greeted them at the door with a bow and a cheerful, "Good morning."
"Morning, Carl."
Logan held R7CKY's hand as they walked. "This is my mentor, you can call him Seven, and this is his partner, Ventus."
"Pleased to meet you, Mr. Seven," Carl said with a slight bow.
"Thank you, Carl."
"It's my pleasure."
Carl also prepared some warm muffins for Logan, knowing he might be hungry, and Logan unpacked some homemade sandwiches he had brought along. Once everything was set, Logan looked directly at Yvan.
"Mr. Boyd," Logan met his gaze, "I think it's time you shared what you know with us."
At a nod from Yvan, Carl moved to adjust the room's lighting, closing the curtains and dimming the sunlight. The room darkened, setting the stage for Yvan to connect a USB drive to his laptop and begin revealing the information they had all been waiting for, projected on the screen for everyone to see.
