A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 547

Why would such heartless words come from the mouth of a lady who's lived in luxury her whole life?

Matilda's eyes reddened with fury as she ripped the IV needle from the back of her hand, ready to charge at Rachel and give her a piece of her mind, but Yvan held her back with force. "Matilda!"

"Let me go, let me go!"

Matilda screamed, all her frustration, all her grievances, and all the injustice she suffered ignited by those two words.

Her eyes were so red it seemed as if she was crying blood instead of tears.

How cruel can a person be, to describe her innocent past with such heartless words?!

"Matilda, calm down—!!" Yvan was terrified that this would trigger Matilda's depression again. Logan, standing by, grabbed Matilda's hand and yelled at Lynn, "Take your mom and grandma and get out!"

"Have you no manners, young man!"

"None!"

Logan roared back, "My mother is a murderer; she killed that woman in the wheelchair next to you! I grew up without parents to teach me right from wrong; I'm just a wild child from the streets, are you happy now?"

Opal stepped back, overwhelmed by Logan's tone.

Rachel's face went pale, but she still tried to maintain her victim facade. "Are you blaming me?"

"Stop playing the victim!" Logan cried, "What right do you have to feel wronged? My mom's the one who lost everything for no reason! What do you have to be upset about? Weren't you supposed to be dead by my mom's hand? How are you still alive! You should be dead—!!"

The scene was chaos, truly alarming.

Seeing Matilda in such panic, Rachel's face showed urgency, but inside, she was almost amused, struggling to keep her smile hidden.

Serves them right! Opal hated being contradicted, so they got what they deserved!

Matilda held Logan in her arms, with Yvan standing protectively in front of them, his body covered in wounds. "Grandma, what are you doing?!"

"Grandma is just disciplining this worthless woman and her bastard child. Oh, does that hurt your feelings?"

Opal shielded Rachel behind her as if she were Rachel's rock. "He's just a bastard! Is he really worth all this fuss to you? Look at the injuries you've got; it's all because of her that you're in this mess! Grandma is upset that you're suffering because of her, and yet you still care for them!"
