A Journey from Bitterness to Truth (Matilda and Yvan) novel Chapter 453

"Beat it!" Luna turned away, her voice laced with a hint of mischief. "Come on, start with my brother and keep it going!"

"One, two, three..."

The tension was palpable as the game of Hot Potato restarted. This time, Cyprian's gang treated the microphone like a literal hot potato, tossing it away as if it was on fire the moment they laid hands on it. They were all too familiar with Mr. Layton's little sister's infamous reputation. Falling into Luna's trap could mean utter humiliation.

"Stop!"

Luna spun around, her gaze locking onto Baxter, who stood there, microphone in hand, utterly bewildered.

"Ah, how the tables have turned!" Luna chuckled. "Former world champion gamer, tell me, do you fancy Truth or Dare?"

Baxter, fearing another round of probing questions about Cyprian, resolutely chose Dare.

"Let me think of something fun."

After a moment of deep contemplation, Luna snapped her fingers, summoning two waiters. "Quick, find him a miniskirt! Baxter, I dare you to don a miniskirt and dance for five minutes!"

The room fell silent as Baxter sat there, thunderstruck. "You want me to do what?"

"Dance in a miniskirt. A striptease," Luna clarified, barely containing her laughter.

"Wow, dodged a bullet there..." Yoshi muttered, clutching his chest in relief. "Lucky it wasn't me."

Hala burst into laughter. "Feeling sorry for Baxter? You could join him if you like."

Baxter's eyes lit up, hopeful as he glanced towards Yoshi.

"I'm dying here, this is too much!"

"Oh my god, I can't even... this is disgustingly hilarious!"

Cyprian watched, arms crossed, a proud smile on his face as he witnessed his sister's mischief unfold. After the five-minute mark, everyone was clutching their sides from laughing so hard, commending Baxter, "Man, you've got guts. I respect that."

Baxter, putting on a flamboyant display, flicked his wrist, "Hah, as if there's anything I can't handle!"

The laughter continued unabated as they braced themselves for the third round. With Luna's whims being as unpredictable as the weather, refusing her dare meant chugging down five hefty glasses of beer. They all knew they had to be on their toes, waiting for the moment Luna would stop counting, signaling their impending doom.

Luna, with a sly grin, turned back to the group and resumed counting, "One... two..."

Baxter quickly passed the microphone to Yoshi, who in turn tossed it to Hala. Hala, panicked, tried to shove it into Matilda's arms but dropped it instead. Matilda had just picked it up when Luna called out — "Stop!"
