But hearing her mom ask if she had eaten, it didn’t seem like she was angry about her sneaking

away that day. That made her feel relieved.

She knew her mom would never be mad at her!

However, in the past few days, she noticed that her mom hadn’t been calling her every day like she used to, nor was she always asking about where she was.

She thought it was a good thing.

She liked the change in her mom!

Freya hadn’t asked about where they had gone the past two days.

She wasn’t interested.

After chatting with Isabella about her studies, Freya hung up the phone.

Back at the office, Johnny came over and asked, “The tech exhibition is tomorrow. Should we all

meet at the company and go together?”

Freya replied, “Sounds good.”

The next morning, Freya drove out, but not long after, her car suddenly broke down. The car behind

her crashed into it, triggering a chain of accidents.

A bunch of drivers behind her started shouting angrily.

The car was immobile, blocking traffic.

Freya apologized to the drivers behind her and immediately called for emergency help, waiting for

he rescue team to arrive.

However, dealing with this was taking up a lot of time, and she was in a hurry to attend the

At that moment, a tall figure approached from the opposite sidewalk.

Freya looked up.

It was Harry.

What was he doing here?

She gave a faint “Mm,” not wanting to engage with him. She quickly called Johnny to inform him of

her situation and told them to go ahead and not wait for her. She would catch up once she sorted

things out.

“Dealing with traffic accidents can be pretty troublesome,” she added.

By the time she finished sorting this out, the exhibition would probably be over.

Johnny replied, “Wait a moment, I’ll have someone contact you, but it’ll probably take half an hour before they can get to you.”

“It’s fine. I can go in later.”

As long as she didn’t miss the exhibition, that was enough.

After hanging up the phone, Freya was about to communicate with the other drivers when Harry

suddenly spoke up: “I’ll have someone handle this for you. Where are you going? I’ll take you.”

Freya was taken aback and looked up at him.

Five minutes later, she was sitting in Harry’s car.

They sat in the backseat with a bit of distance between them, but Freya still felt somewhat awkward.

“Thank you.”

“It’s nothing,” Harry replied.
