Freya paused for a moment, then walked out of the kitchen, holding the dishes.

At that moment, Isabella and Matteo walked in from the living room.

“Mom, Dad’s back!”

Freya glanced at Matteo, then quickly averted her gaze. “Hmm.”

She took off her apron and handed it to the butler before they all sat down in their usual places.

Isabella, eating the food Freya had served her, asked, “Dad, didn’t you say you’d be back tomorrow?”

“I finished my work early and came back.”

“Oh..”

The Wilson family didn’t have many formalities at the dinner table. Isabella spoke freely, while Matteo, though quiet, responded to her in everything.

Isabella chatted happily, then turned to look at Freya. “Mom, why aren’t you talking?”
