Athena took the antipyretics and woke up Mia.
"Mummy?" Mia was very weak, slipping into Athena's arms. "Where's Aiden?"
"Aiden is fine." Athena was worried. Her tears were about to fall. "Mia, you have a fever."
"Ah?" Mia was a little puzzled, and fell into Athena's arms, "No wonder I feel tired..."
"Take the medicine, and you'll be fine soon."
Mia didn't have difficulty taking medicine. She knew the truth that taking medicine would be good for recovery.
Mia obediently let Athena feed her the medicine.
After taking the medicine, Athena put another anti-fever sticker on Mia's forehead.
After that, Athena put Mia in her arms all the time.
When Byron came over, he happened to see Athena secretly wiping tears.
He felt very distressed. Byron took the thermometer and tested Mia's body temperature again.
After taking the medicine, her body temperature lowered a little.
"How is Aiden?" Athena turned her face away, not wanting Byron to see her cry.
"He is playing chess with Aron. I didn't tell him that Mia was sick."
"Well, you can't say it. He will be anxious." Athena replied.
"Let me hug Mia," Byron said softly.
Athena hesitated.
Byron had already reached out and hugged Mia into his arms.
Athena was worried that Mia would be unwilling.
But, Mia opened her eyes in bewilderment, glanced at Byron, and fell asleep again, showing no sign of reluctance.
Mia slept in Byron's arms for another hour.
When Mia woke up, she looked weak.
Mia sat on the chair, and Byron tested her body temperature again.
It was the same temperature as before.
"Mummy!" At this time, Mia thought of something. She suddenly looked at Athena, feeling more energetic. "On the island, my brother had a fever, and the doctor gave him ice cream. I also had a fever. Can I eat ice cream?"
She started to think about what flavor of ice cream she wanted to eat.
They walked along the way.
The rain had stopped, and the sun was out.
Byron found a chain convenience store nearby. He put Mia down at the door. Byron originally thought that Mia would go straight into the store.
Unexpectedly, before Mia took a step, Mia held Byron's finger first.
Byron was surprised.
Soon, they came to the refrigerator.
Staring at the various kinds of ice cream, they all fell into confusion.
"Which one do you like to eat?" Byron asked.
Mia looked at Byron and asked, "I've never eaten it. It's hard to choose. What about you? Which one do you think is delicious?"
Byron was stunned.
He said, "Actually, I haven't eaten it either."
