My Lord, My Billionaire Master novel Chapter 899

"Come with me. I know where the gift is."

She stood up and walked forward, but she was quickly hugged from behind.

William embraced her from the back, holding her tightly.

Alice stood there motionlessly, allowing William to hug her. He didn't let go as he lowered his head to rest on her shoulder.

"Alright, let's go."

Alice patted his arm to struggle free, but William held her tighter and tighter, and said softly, "Hold on a little longer."

"Aren't you looking for a gift? Hurry up, it's getting dark."

Alice said.

"Just hug me."

William's tone was low and overbearing.

"Fine."

Alice compromised and let William hug her. The wind blew bit by bit, and the multicolored light fell upon them, covering them in a faint layer of velvet.

William hugged her for a long time, only when Alice said that her legs were a little numb did he let go.

Under the setting sun, she took William to the roadside they walked by, pointing to the pile of old wood on the ground, said, "I told you before, there used to be a canteen here. I liked to come here to buy candy after I saved up some money."

William kicked away a piece of wood with a look of disdain. Hearing this, he looked at her in disbelief, "You even saved up money to buy candy?"

He did not understand Alice's past life.

"How old was I back then? Of course I had to save up money to buy the candies. Do you think everybody is a tycoon like you?" Alice said.

"I'm not a tycoon."

William made a gesture from behind, and a bodyguard immediately rushed forward, then he said coldly, "Buy me several boxes of cellophane."

"I don't like that stuff anymore." Alice muttered, "Furthermore, you don't understand that only the hard-won candy wrapper is precious but the casually obtained one is not."

Candy wrapper and cartoon cards were the same.

William stared at her and blurted out, "Then isn't it too easy for you to get me?"

It was all his own doing.

Hearing this, the bodyguard at the side did his best to suppress his laughter.

Alice looked at William speechlessly, then turned her eyes to the surroundings and said, "This is where the gift might have been hidden according to Patrick's suggestion. Before, you already searched for the old house, but didn't find any extra metal boxes.

William raised his eyebrows, "You still have some reasoning."

"Thank you for your compliment." Alice said, and was immediately troubled, "But in this place, where will the gift be? Even the canteen is gone."

"Dig deeper."

William glanced at the bodyguard at the side.

"Yes, Mr. Cullen."

A group of bodyguards who looking for gifts were already used to it. Hearing the order, they waved their sleeves and started digging, while Alice stood by the side and looked at the pile of broken down wood.

Very quickly, a piece of land was disfigured.

Just like the memories of her childhood, they had already changed in the passage of time. They had become mildewed and white. She could not bear to think about them, because she could also think about the unhappy events that happened afterwards every time she thought about them.

The color of the setting sun slowly faded.

The bodyguards hung lights under the trees.

Alice was pulled to the side by William, causing dust to fly everywhere, while some bodyguards pushed away the rotten wood and said, "Mr. Cullen, could it be that it wasn't buried underground, but was just consigned here? Now that the canteen is closed, the things inside are also gone missing."

That sounds reasonable.

Alice thought, but heard William say confidently, "Impossible."

"Why?"

Alice immediately asked.

William looked down at her, "What, you don't know about it?"

"What should I know?"

"Patrick's gifts are all arranged in places that can be hidden without informing others. This means that he is not good at socializing and

he would definitely not spread the news of hiding gifts."

William said in a low voice. Alice suddenly understood, yes, this was indeed Patrick's personality back then. He was blind, stiff and unsociable.

She almost forgot that. He knew Patrick better than she did.

She stood beside William and looked at the pile of wood. After staring for a long time, she vaguely felt that the canteen had once again appeared in front of her.

At that time, she would often bring Patrick along to buy candy. After buying all of them, she would give the candy to Patrick to eat, and then cover her eyes with a piece of candy wrapper to look at the sunlight.

Patrick would stand in front of her, blocking her view without knowing, and say, "Alice, what are you looking at?"

"There's a river behind you. If you don't walk away, you'll fall."

Then, she saw Patrick anxiously jumping away, with a hint of panic on his face, so she would smile and continued to use her cellophane to look at the sunlight.
