"Hey! Do you hear me? I didn't even touch her with my fingers! I am innocent! " William stood on the bed and roared loudly. The needle was still stuck into the back of his hand, and the transparent tube shook along with his movements.
Alice sat there and nodded, "I believe in you."
"I knew you wouldn't believe me. Why are you talking in such a weird manner!" William pointed at her and asked with a questioning and angry tone.
"I said I believe you."
Alice was at a loss. She had clearly said that she believed him, right?
"You're lying! Can you believe it so easily? " William glared at her and said aggressively: "Alice, stop pretending! I said, I didn't touch her! I never touched her! I didn't betray you! It doesn't matter if you believe me or not, I didn't do anything to let you down!"
Seeing him so excited that the veins on his forehead were about to pop out, Alice said hurriedly, "I believe you, William. Seriously, lie down first.
"Don't try that! If you don't believe me, I won't lie down!"
William glared at her and thought that she was lying. She minded his words a lot, but she was still lying.
"I believe you."
Alice really did not know what to say. She did not know what she had to say to gain William's trust. He's really...
"You liar!" William glared at her fiercely, his bare feet stepped heavily on the blanket.
Following that, Alice spent nearly two hours to make William believe that she truly believed him, and not that she was holding back her anger.
In fact, she knew that if it was before, she would have dealt with him in a jealous way. But this time, she really believed him.
Because he was William.
The William who treats her best in the world.
William was finally convinced and he laid down obediently. Alice helplessly looked at him and stood up to cover him with the blanket. She checked if there were any traces of blood on the gauze.
William laid there staring straight at her with a trace of probing.
"Are you thirsty? I'll pour you some water to drink."
Alice said with a smile. She picked up the glass kettle and poured water into a glass. The water carried some warmth, it was suitable for William to drink now.
William's low and hoarse voice suddenly came out, "Do you really believe me?"
"That's right, of course I believe you. If I didn't believe you, how could I find out that you were injured and send you to the hospital?"
Alice replied without turning her head. She had said these words countless of times in the past two hours, to the point that she was thirsty.
William was silent.
Alice turned around and looked at William who was sitting on the bed with a cup in her hand. The blanket fell on his waist and he glared at her with a pair of firey eyes, as if he wanted to burn her.
"What's wrong?"
Alice was confused again. What kind of expression was that?
"Why do you believe me?" William unhappily asked, "I was lying on the bed with a woman, but you actually believed that I didn't do anything to let you down? Did you have a big heart or you don't like me!"
Hearing that, Alice had a headache.
Gosh. She's just solved the problem about not trusting him. Why did he ask the reason of trusting him now?
Oh foster father, where are you, help!
Seeing Alice standing there in a daze, William's facial features became distorted, "What, was I right? Alice, what exactly are you thinking? Do you love me or not?"
He was in bed with another woman, and the air was full of disgusting smell, yet she still chose to believe him?
If a woman was not jealous about this, what explanations would there be other than not loving him?
"I don't know what I am thinking." Alice walked in front of him and helplessly said, "Don't you know whether I love you or not? Alright, let's not talk about this, drink some water."
"I won't!"
William angrily turned his head away with an arrogant expression.
"..." Alice stood there holding the cup, feeling funny, "William, what exactly do you want me to do? I am not allowed to believe you, nor I am not allowed to not believe you."
This woman... got her reason, huh?
William glared at her and extended his hand to point at her, "You should be sad and jealous. You shoud shed tears, but in the end, you still choose to believe in me!"
That was right.
Alice's lips slightly parted as she looked at him in disbelief, "William, I'm not some code in your computer, I can't possibly follow your instructions exactly."
"Then you don't like me at all! You can go! " William suddenly laid down, turned his back to her and covered his head with the blanket, refusing to communicate.
He got angry just like that?
When he came back from Mona's side, his endurance was really great. Was it regressing day by day now?
Since he did not want to drink water anymore, he should at least eat something. Dealing with him only needed some desert and dishes. Alice put the cup to the side and turned around, preparing to go out and order some food.
The moment she turned around, she heard William's depressed voice, "Let me die of thirst! You go!"
