Very soon, a large portion of the auditorium was emptied. The remaining people basically did not have anything to do with the aristocrats and only had business dealings with William.
Alice subconsciously looked towards Xavier's direction, only to see that the seat there was empty.
Xavier and Patrick were both gone.
She looked around doubtfully. They were nowhere to be seen.
Her father had nothing else to ask her, so he just left.
"Continue."
William's low and forceful voice sounded beside her.
Alice looked at William in doubt. William stood there, acting like nothing had happened. His gaze landed on a booklet at the side, telling her to finish reciting the [Hymn of Songs].
Do you want to continue?
There were no more guests.
His parents were gone.
"Even if there's not a single guest left, our engagement will still continue." William stared at her and said each word resolutely. He wanted them to complete this engagement ceremony.
It was their engagement, and it had nothing to do with anyone.
Alice met his gaze, and in the end, compromised his paranoia. She picked up the book, and continued to recite, "Please use the raisins to nourish me, and the apples to wake me up. Because I became love-sick, his left hand was under my head, and his right hand was tightly hugging me."
William continued to read her words, one word at a time, reciting an elegant song that belonged solely to them.
His voice that came out of the microphone was so enchanting and sexy, and Alice quietly looked at his face, looked at the ear nail that he wore over his ears, and her eyes became moist.
Suddenly, as if she sensed something, Alice slowly raised his head and looked forward. She saw that more and more guests had poured in in in the huge hall. Anna had her husband in the lead, walked in together.
One by one, they quietly sat down under the guidance of the staff members.
Their gazes collided in the air.
Anna stood there with her big belly up. Suddenly. As if she understood something, she suddenly held her face with both hands. Her eyes were moist, and she looked at her emotionally.
"I know you won't be able to laugh today, but I need photos for the media. For their sake, you have to smile."
William stood beside her and whispered in her ear in a hoarse voice.
Alice raised her eyes and looked at his cold face, her lips moved, as if she wanted to say something. Daniel stood at the side and said, "Young Master, Miss.Brown, it’s time to cut the cake."
The music started playing again.
An eight-layer cake was slowly pushed out. It was pushed out by two small flower boys. The brightest and most beautiful smile blossomed on their young faces, making people feel as comfortable as a sunflower blooming in their hearts.
The cake tower was cherry pink, and it was meticulously crafted. Even the two little cartoon characters on it were a mini version of herself and William.
Alice stared at it, tearing up.
She realized that William was not just trying to scare her. He had really prepared for a wedding or a funeral, so even the cartoon character on the cake was her image.
Everyone knew how grand the ceremony was, but only William knew that she was the only bride.
William took the crystal blade from the hands of the person beside him, and his black eyes swept across Alice.
The wetness in her eyes made his gaze darken, a hint of jealousy flashed past his eyes as he tightly held onto the blade in his hand. Just as the thin lip was about to speak, Alice had already raised her hand and grabbed onto the crystal blade.
Her fingers brushed his hand, soft and cool.
William's body trembled, and his hand could not even hold onto his blade properly. In the next second, he let go of her hand and grabbed her blade's hilt, wrapping them tightly and cutting down towards the cake forcefully and tyrannically.
With one cut, the cake tower automatically separated.
Alice was startled, then a firework blossomed from inside, causing the cake tower to split into two, and it automatically moved to the side. A black platform slowly rose from the cake tower, and the surroundings were filled with small clusters of fireworks.
The fireworks were completely extinguished.
The only bit of brilliance was in Alice's eyes.
An open box was placed on top of it, surrounded by light pink petals and inside the box was a heart-shaped blood drill ring.
It was the ring she wore and gave up twice.
It's back.
Alice looked at it dumbfoundedly, her heart throbbing.
In her lifetime, it could actually return to her hands. Three hours ago, she didn't even dare to think about it.
Anna stood up from the guest seats and looked towards the ring. When she saw it was a ring, she immediately screamed in excitement.
In the hall full of melodious romantic music, the screams were especially abrupt. Guests looked at her one by one, so Anna immediately pulled back, hiding in her husband's embrace without even raising her head.
Alice raised her head and looked towards Anna's direction. Anna had been hiding in her husband's embrace, and she could not help but smile.
"Yes, that's it. Even if it's not for me."
