Tiffany stared at him, taking note of his impatience and explosive temper. He never used to be like this. Maybe he did not change, maybe it was just her. With the state she was in, everything was simply magnified. She tried to calm down. “It’s nothing. I just don’t want to have children anymore. It’s meaningless.”
Jackson’s expression turned cold. He did not say another word and continued driving to the office. When they arrived at the intersection, Tiffany got down from the car without looking back at him.
He punched the steering wheel angrily, causing the honk to sound loudly. His already-busy morning now had an extra disturbance. He had just parked the car in the car park when he received a message on his phone. “It’s inconvenient for me to go out now. Grab some breakfast for me and deliver it to the hotel.”
An expression of impatience appeared on his face as he stared at the message from the unsaved number. He typed out his reply. “No time. Do it yourself.” Alas, he did not send the message. After a bout of hesitation, he deleted the message and drove out of the car park.
When he arrived at the hotel with the breakfast he bought, he sent a message to the unsaved number. “Collect it downstairs.”
He received a reply in no time. “I’ve already told you it’s inconvenient for me to go out. Since you’ve already bought it, what’s wrong with sending it up?”
He gritted his teeth and quickly walked into the hotel with the breakfast in hand.
