Over the weekend, Melanie and Tiffany invited Arianne to meet up at Mateo’s restaurant, but she refused.

Regardless of whether it was the strange feeling Mateo gave her previously or her lie being exposed by Mark, she did not have a reason to go there again.

After that, Melanie got up and headed to the washroom. Once the phone got connected, she asked, “Teo, where are you?”

Mateo seemed to sigh. “I’m at my office at the moment, not in my restaurant. However, I do know that you and Tiffany are there but Arianne isn’t… It seems that I might have misspoken last time and she may have felt something. I’m afraid she won’t be coming to my restaurant anymore…”

Melanie paused for a moment before saying, “If that’s the case, why don’t you come clean with her? It’s not like you’re expecting her to do anything for you. You merely want to seek closure. Wouldn’t you agree that everyone would feel bad in this situation? You’re my friend and I can help you, but you can’t let Mark find out about this matter.
