Beyond the Divorce by Third Blossom novel Chapter 1259

Chapter 1259 Plans Laid Long Ago

When the men heard what he had to say, they looked at each other in confusion, then turned to Millard. But none of them spoke.

Millard glanced at them, growing impatient, and said a few more words before waving and turning away.

Then, the room fell silent. Millard asked another one of his men who could speak our language, "What do you guys mean?"

He glanced at the two bodies on the ground without hesitation and said, "We'll obey your command, Millard."

Just as those two were about to retreat to the door and turn around, Millard, who had been standing with his back to them, suddenly turned and fired two shots. The two men fell to the ground.

His swift actions startled me, and Tristan quickly reassured me. "Don't be afraid, Mrs. Chloe."

Millard's expression was peculiar as he shook his head and said, "I can't let you go back and plot against me."

Millard was ruthless. We couldn't leave him alive.

I discreetly glanced at the other men, who all had pale faces and expressions of resigned determination.

I knew they had no objections now.

Millard looked at me and said, "Shall we go?"

"Alright." I stood up and glanced at the old man lying in a pool of blood. I clasped my hands together and silently mourned for a moment.

It was all over now. Someone would come to deal with this.

I heard Millard speaking rapidly to his subordinates, presumably giving them some instructions.

Then, Tristan and I followed them outside.

Tristan whispered, "Mrs. Chloe, can we trust him?"

I whispered back, "Play it by ear. Quickly send out the message with our location and our situation. Time is running out."

When Millard and his men caught up, I said, "I need to tell Atlas what's going on. Otherwise, he might act against you."

Millard nodded. "Alright. Go ahead. I trust you, but don't betray me."
