“An inmate has escaped from the sky prison, a human female cultivator. All soldiers, be on immediate combat alert.”

A distressed voice echoed in the thin air.

“F*ck! They're trying to work me to death!”

The soldiers, who had previously shed their armor, were then hastily donning it once more. They then began to move around the city with an air of tension.

In the midst of the chaos, Jared and his three companions were also darting around the city.

Originally, Jared had planned to visit that small town in the mountains. However, since he knew the town was home to the overlord of Celestial Palace's Eighth Hall, Braxton, he decided not to provoke him.

The only option he had was to figure out how to leave Winged Tiger City from another direction without alerting Braxton.

“Let's take this opportunity to find a hideout. Wearing this armor is way too stuffy!” Jared said.

“All right. Let's find a place to hide first,” Madman agreed.

The four of them found a secluded spot, intending to shed their heavy armor.

Just as they were about to remove their armor, a sudden flash of light came their way.

That sudden thrust of the sword frightened Jared and his three companions.

With a thought from Jared, the Dragonslayer Sword appeared in an instant, effectively blocking the incoming light.

It was then that Jared and his three companions discovered a woman clad in black hiding in their midst. She held a longsword in her hand, glaring furiously at the quartet.

It seemed that the prisoner who had just escaped was likely the woman standing before them.

After her initial attack was parried by a single strike, the woman launched another assault on Jared and his group.
