The fire unicorn gazed blankly at Jared. Despite the disdain in its eyes, it found itself helplessly drawn towards him, gently nuzzling against him.
Though the fire unicorn wasn't satisfied to have a mere Tribulator as its master, it didn't have a choice since the Celestial Devourer was lurking nearby, eyeing it like prey.
Jared stroked the fire unicorn, his heart brimming with joy. Having the fire unicorn as his mount meant he had gained another ally.
Even without the airship, Jared could now ride the fire unicorn anywhere. He no longer needed to deplete his spiritual energy.
However, this fire unicorn was still too small, and Jared had no idea how many resources it would take to fully raise it. Just one Celestial Devourer was a nuisance for him. Many things were devoured by it, and now, he had to feed the fire unicorn, too.
Jared’s cultivation demanded an immense amount of resources—far more than those needed by the other Tribulators. With three major expenditures looming over him, he found himself pondering where he could possibly gather enough resources.
Given the situation, he realized he had no choice but to take things one step at a time. If worse came to worst, he would have to compete with other cultivators for what little resources were available. In the Ethereal Realm, hard and fast rules were virtually nonexistent; it was a brutal world where the strong preyed upon the weak. While he considered targeting some prestigious families to seize their resources, he had yet to fully convince himself to take that route.
After safely storing the fire unicorn and the Celestial Devourer in his Storage Ring, Jared exited that dimension. As he stepped out, the dimension shattered in an instant, disappearing completely along with the array runes etched into the ground.
With the fire unicorn now in his Storage Ring, the spirit beasts visibly calmed, their earlier fear and agitation fading away.
It seemed that this fire unicorn was the cause of the spirit beasts' alarm, which then led to their illness.
He knew that after a few days of recuperation, they would fully recover.
