“That's possible...”
Dylan nodded in agreement. Now that the legacy had been obtained by someone, it was indeed possible that Cauldron Peak would collapse.
Wyatt glanced at Thaddeus and the others who had already descended the mountain, then whispered, “Everyone, there's something I need to discuss with you. Please follow me to a more secluded spot.”
Wyatt intended to expose Thaddeus' plan of allying with Sky Slasher Sect against all the alchemists.
Regardless of whether Dylan and the others believed him or not, he was going to spill the beans.
In response, the curious Dylan followed Wyatt toward a secluded area with the others.
At that moment, Thaddeus was staring at the collapsed Cauldron Peak, his brows furrowed in frustration. “D*mn it,” he muttered, “I didn't manage to obtain the Medicine God's legacy or find any treasures, and now it's collapsed. Such rotten luck.”
“President Surrey, I don't see anyone from the Dupont family. Could it be possible that none of them managed to escape?” Ernesto said.
Only then did Thaddeus realize that not a single person from the Dupont family, including Vincent, had shown up.
His expression turned grim, his demeanor frosty as he said, “If there's not a single person from the Dupont family to be found, it's not that they didn't manage to escape. Rather, they might have all been murdered before Cauldron Peak collapsed.”
“Murdered? Who could have possibly wiped out the entire Dupont family?”
Ernesto was slightly taken aback.
“Was someone scheming against us while we were plotting to kill them?”
After Thaddeus finished speaking, he turned his gaze toward Wyatt and the others.
He was still unaware that Wyatt had already discovered their plan.
