Chapter 104: Destroying His Chances.

Silas turned to Kim’s urgent voice, removing his hand from Ivy’s chest

“What’s wrong?” he asked, hearing the shock in his voice.

I bumped my leg while I was packing, Kim said, motioning to her leg like she was in pain.

But how did she manage to climb the stairs? Something wasn’t adding up, but before he could figure anything out, Kim fell

to the floor.

He and Ivy rushed to her side, holding her on each arm

“Are you alright?” Ivy asked. He knew she was definitely annoyed by Kim barging in again, but he was surprised by her genuine concern.

Kim winced as she got to her feet with their help. “Yes. I’m better now, she smiled but her eyes were on Silas

Ivy stepped away, her mouth curving in anger. “Good,” she said unenthusiastically

Silas groaned inwardly. Kim was destroying his chances with Ivy Before she walked in, he had wanted to make love to lvy, he missed her, and he wanted to show her with his body.

Ivy was ready for him, he could tell from the way she had responded to his kiss, the way her body had reacted to his touch. He was supposed to take it from there. But now, thanks to Kim, the moment was ruined.

Silas helped Kim stand on her own and kept a distance between them. “I think you need to see a doctor”

I have somebody treating me, but thanks for the advice,” Kim said, “Now would you please help with my luggages so! could leave you two lovebirds alone.”

“Till join you soon, let me finish my conversation with my wife,” he emphasized so Kim would get the message.

And she did, he could tell from the way she twitched her eyes. Her cheeks turned red and she smiled. “I understand,” she said, turning to the door.

The instant she left, he bolted the door and walked to Ivy. “Sorry that I keep forgetting to lock the door,” he apologized “Yeah,” Ivy said flatly.

He pulled her closer and tried to kiss her, hoping to continue from where they stopped, but she tilted her head, dodging his kiss.

She removed his hand from her waist, her expression was stiff. “Just go to her.”

His heart shattered at her tone. “But Ivy.”

“She needs you, besides she’s leaving today. So go” she told him.

He knew she was dismissing him and that hurts. “Alright, I’ll be back soon.”

“Okay,” she said.

As much as it hurt him, he unlocked the door and made his way to his room. There, Kim was struggling to close her suitcase.

He marched over and helped her “I don’t appreciate you barging into Ivy’s room like that.”

“But I used to stay in that room before,” she countered. “It’s no big deal.”

Silas turned to her, narrowing his eyes. “It is a big deal. First, you never stayed there and second, that’s my wife’s room. You should show some respect.

“Jeez, chill, Silas. I was just joking: she laughed.

He didn’t find it funny so he walked away.

“I’m sorry, Si,” she called after him.

“I’m leaving for work, I don’t want to see you here when I return,” he said without looking at her.

Silas went back to Ivy’s room, but he was heartbroken when he realized she had already left.

“Ivy?” he called, hoping she would pop out of the bathroom or closet. He waited and she didn’t.

He walked to the bed, sighhed and his eyes shifted to the table. None of the gifts were there anymore, and he knowing that Ivy had taken them. He brought e

“Dinner tonight by 8. I’m sorry”

Silas groaned, he couldn’t believe Thomas could hear that. “It’s Rachel,”

“Rachel? What happened to her? Is she alright?” Thomas asked, his voice filled with concern.

Silas took his seat and unlocked his laptop. “She tried to seduce me yesterday so I fired her.” “What the fuck? Was she drunk?” Thomas’s concern had switched to anger.

“I don’t even know,” he replied. “It was odd.”

“That’s weird, I wonder what came over her.”

“That’s her business. Anyway, how have you been?” Silas asked, changing the topic.
