A Life Beyond Limits novel Chapter 261

Fall came quietly. Feena walked along a path covered in yellow leaves as the sun shone in her face. She headed to class, feeling happy and light-hearted. Her eyes glimmered brightly, and she felt particularly serene after seemingly making an important decision.

The bells chimed, signaling the end of classes. She returned to her dormitory and swiftly called Jack. She asked, "Has the public security office sought you out recently, Jack?"

He said cheerily, "Nope. The university has already dealt with it, so don't worry."

The conflict yesterday had been intense, but the students had only done it out of self-defense. Most of the people present had witnessed and verified it. Moreover, they had videos to prove that the thugs had come brandishing their weapons, wanting to attack the students. The students had been forced to retaliate.

The university administration had also discovered that the thugs were hardened criminals. Not only had they not punished the students, but they'd also used their connections to have the thugs thrown behind bars.

There was one thing the students weren't happy about, though—Hector and Leslie were the instigators of the matter, yet they'd gotten away scot-free. Still, the outcome was expected due to their family backgrounds. The students had no choice but to accept it.

Feena was relieved to learn Jack was okay. She smiled and asked, "Are you free this afternoon? I wanted to ask you to help take a look at a song I've composed."

"Yeah, I am. Just call me when you get here," he said easily.

Her heart raced after hanging up, and she repeatedly asked herself whether she'd made the right decision. Did she want to tell Jack about her feelings for him?

This was a profound decision for her—she'd once rejected him by the riverside with everyone watching, after all. Now, she wanted to change her mind and correct the mistake she'd made.

She'd always been proud but now felt somewhat insecure. She was afraid her confession would ruin Jack's image of her being elegant and graceful, and she also worried she would regret this.
