"Why?"
"Can't you see, Mr. Odie? This subordinate of yours has hostility towards me. I'm afraid he might take me out when you're not looking."
"Jonah is not that kind of person. He only takes orders from me."
"I don't care. I want you, Mr. Odie, to take me."
Sophie was clearly being petulant. Odie raised an eyebrow and said, "You want me to personally escort you? You certainly think highly of yourself."
"Just take me, will you? With you by my side, I won't be afraid of anyone trying to harm me."
Sophie's words were a clear dig at Jonah.
Jonah, standing by the door, frowned upon hearing this.
As if possessed, Odie nodded and said, "I suppose I can take you. It's not impossible."
Sophie's eyes lit up immediately, but in the next moment, Odie said, "But this would waste my time. After the mess you've caused today, who will take care of my wine cellar? Who will clean up?"
"Mr. Odie, you must be joking. There are so many servants in your house."
"Servants need to be paid extra."
The implication in Odie's words couldn't be clearer.
Sophie could only force a smile and said, "I'll do it. I'll clean up for you."
"If you can clean it up in one night, I'll agree. If you can't..."
"I can clean it up. I'll start right now."
