Just as she had changed into her pajamas, the delivery arrived.

She opened the door, took the food, and ushered Daniel to sit down.

Daniel had just taken a bite of a small cake; his mouth was smeared with cream. Brittany gently wiped it off for him, "Let's eat."

Despite his small stature, Daniel had a big appetite.

On the other hand, Brittany didn't eat much, mostly watching Daniel wolf down his food.

When Daniel finally finished eating, his belly round and full, he reluctantly wiped his mouth and said, "Mom, I'm full."

Brittany remained silent.

It seemed she needed to have a serious chat with his father about Daniel casually calling her mom.

Brittany cleared up the things and turned to a sleepy Daniel, "Are you tired?"

"Not tired." Daniel said, trying his best to stay awake.

Brittany helped him change his shoes, and suddenly the doorbell rang.

Brittany opened the door.

"Hello, Ms. Dustin."

"Hello."

It was the police.

After understanding the situation, they came to take Daniel away.

"Mom!" Daniel widened his eyes in shock. Mom was kicking him out and even called the police on him!

Brittany, a little softened by his call, walked over to him, took out a piece of paper, and wrote down her phone number, "Daniel, be good. The police will take you home. If you behave, you can contact me anytime, okay?"

Daniel wouldn't tell her where his home was, so she had no other choice but to call the police.

Daniel pouted, tears welling up in his eyes. Brittany patted his head, "Do you have a phone?"

"Yes."

Daniel had a smartwatch on his wrist. Brittany added her own number and noted, "Alright. Now you go home."

Daniel pouted, "Can I come find you later?"

"If your dad agrees."

"Daniel!"

Isaac yelled his name again, then asked with a stern face, "What else do you want to make a fuss about?"

"I miss my mom." Daniel's eyes welled up with tears, "I just wanted to go see her; I didn't do anything..."

"I heard you went with someone today?"

Isaac didn't expect him to be so bold as to go with a stranger.

Daniel panicked, "Dad, I was wrong; don't go after her. I was wrong."

Mom can't be found by dad, or else his dad will hit her too!

"Take Daniel upstairs. Nathan, find out where Daniel went today and everyone he came into contact with; check them all."

He wanted to see who dared to approach his son under his watch!
