"No. You’re so strong, you can clear the way for us." He said this in a way that this was the only scenario in which they’d be allowed to come with them.
"..."
For some reason, Wazan and the others had that feeling of being scammed, and it was annoying. They almost started a fight right then and there, but Wazan stopped the others just in time.
Well, anyway, being in front meant they could redirect the beasts to where they wanted to be, so it didn’t matter!
The group moved forward and headed to Alterra. While they had not paved the entire road to Ferrol Town, there was a path created due to the high traffic being exchanged.
They were, however, slowly improving the paths. The roads that connected the three satellites had started slowly extending to Ferrol. They also lined it up with the metal grass that was like a mild citronella for some monsters.
However, at the Town level, it didn’t work at all with most monsters. However, they could at least shoo away some weaker ones, allowing them to focus on the greater threats more without having to deal with the ’bugs’, which were usually the majority of mobs in terms of numbers.
The group travelled on foot because the buses had ’mysteriously’ broken. The travel was longer, which annoyed many of the tourists there, but the Alterrans reassured them that their travel agency would provide them bonus spa hours to make up for it.
Apparently, the spa and bathhouse in Alterra was quite famous, and some people headed there just for it, so they calmed down quickly after that. They also said that they had sent a post for Alterra to send cars midway as well.
This added a bit of pressure to Wazan and the others, but they didn’t think too much of it. They could just get who they wanted before that. They were planning on using the mobs around Ferrol town to weaken the guards considerably, anyway.
On foot and at a decent pace, the trip to Alterra from Ferrol was easily a few days. For a while, Wazan believed they had a long time to move.
But several hours later, they have yet to encounter a mob. "We’re almost past the scope of Ferrol... why aren’t there mobs yet?"
"Did they use some Beast Repelling Potion?"
"That has limited use. It’s been so long, and there’s really none that approached them."
"Damn. Is it one of their products?"
People weren’t always privy to the new products of Alterra. Most of them would usually be consumed before they could get out, after all, so they had no idea about any improvements in this type of product.
Unfortunately, they were asked to stay at the front. For now, they had to clear the way without the advantages they expected. They were literally just swiping away the plants and branches.
They did not come here to be bushbreakers!
And they were getting quite impatient.
Wazan knew they had to work soon, because they weren’t certain when the Alterrans would come by.
"I had one bottle of Beast Attracting Potion left," he said, taking a bottle from his space and throwing the bottle as far forward as he could, so by the time they reached there, it had already exploded a bit. It was not visible to the naked eye, anyway.
"Are the others ready?"
There were a few people in their team, and there were also others running parallel, and that was easily more than a dozen past level 30. Theirs was the best team under the Lord.
Because Jonathan took so long to respond back then, they happened to have a lot of people mobilized right now.
Anyway, they travelled for a few more minutes until the expected rumbling of the soil finally shook.
ROAARR!!
